Founded in 1967 by Vigo Sauro Ponsiani, Jolly Plastic is based among the hills of Montalbano, in Larciano (Pistoia), just a few kilometers from Florence. Thanks to the commitment of the Ponsiani family — now in its second generation — the company has over fifty years of experience in producing technical films for various sectors, from food to non-food. We operate successfully both nationally and internationally, combining tradition with a continuous pursuit of cutting-edge solutions.

The production area expands.
Production area tripled; film production for B2B converters begins. -
Installation of the first 3-layer Coex lines
The production of technical films increases through investments in the first 3-layer coextrusion lines. -
Internal R & D laboratory built
The new laboratory allows technicians to test raw materials and materials from both internal production and customers. Films are developed and produced according to the specific needs of each client. -
Automated raw material dosing and distribution
Complete product traceability, elimination of the possibility of operator error, and a significant increase in production efficiency. -
Patented new film thickness control
Development of a new patented technology. Optimization and uniform thickness of every type of film, resulting in reduced waste and improved product quality. -
UNI EN ISO 9001 certification obtained

First pilot Coex R & D line for prototyping
The development of new customized films, in addition to the internal laboratory, takes place through fast and effective prototyping processes, using a pilot line exclusively dedicated to product development. -
Annual production exceeds 10,000 tons
The production volumes of technical films reach 10,688 tons. -
New laboratory built
The new in-house laboratory is equipped with the most modern analytical instruments necessary for the design, development, and control of films. -
Installation of new 9-layer line
